Guest Review: Danny, my good friend is giving this review. We met on a hiking trip in Montana. He used the Gregory Baltoro and had many good things to say about it. We switched packs for a day, just for fun - so I did get to try out the Baltoro pack. I was amazed with how well the pack handles a 50 lbs load. If you are female, check out the Gregory Deva 60 Pack - it is the women’s version of the Gregory Baltoro. The rest of this review is Danny’s opinion. :)
Gregory Baltoro Pack Review:
- I have had this backpack for almost 9 months. I took it on a three week trip to Australia, and used it almost every day. I usually had about 30 lbs in the Baltoro, but I filled it to about 55 lbs and wasn’t uncomfortable. However, I don’t think I would recommend using the pack for much more than 60 lbs.
- It is a rugged pack. I was very impressed with the backpacks ability to hold up to my abuse. I tend to throw my packs around a lot and as of today, there isn’t a scratch on my Baltoro.
- It has the standard top and front access points, which is nice. Even if you are sloppy about packing your backpack, you will still be able to get to everything without too much hassle. Over all I’ve been very pleased with how well the Baltoro is organized in terms of pockets and use of space. Gregory did a nice job.
- Overall I think the biggest reason to get this pack is comfort. If you want a pack that reduces how heavy the load feels, I think you’ll be pleased with the Gregory Baltoro.
